In the words of Dr. Richard Weil
About Piedmont Pediatrics
Piedmont Pediatrics is one of Buckhead’s most respected medical firms, offering comprehensive medical care to children of all ages. Their physicians strive to promote wellness by focusing on growth and development for each child, and to provide up-to-date medical care in times of sickness.
In 2008 we decided to expand our office, and of course, we needed money to do that. At the time we were with another large bank, but they simply weren’t responsive. We needed to find another option, and our accountant suggested that we talk with this new bank – Atlantic Capital.
Long story short, we met Walt Deriso and William Brakebill, two bankers in the Medical Banking Group, and they got us the loan and closed the deal quickly. They were responsive and knowledgeable, and they worked with us to make sure we got the financing that was right for us.
Expanding the Relationship
After closing the loan, we decided to move the rest of our corporate banking business to Atlantic Capital. The process of switching over was surprisingly easy, and we have enjoyed the more personalized approach that the bank offers.
I especially appreciate that Atlantic Capital has worked with us to make sure we’re using all the available technology to make our banking more efficient. When we were with our old bank, my partners and I had to take turns taking checks to the bank, which was a real hassle. Atlantic Capital suggested that we begin using a product called Remote Deposit Capture, which lets us scan the images of our checks instead of taking them to the bank.
Corporate Banking + Personal Banking = Easier Banking
One of my partners moved his personal accounts early on. At first I thought that I should keep my business and personal accounts at separate banks, but after getting to know more people and working with the bank on our corporate accounts, I knew it would be a good move. So, after 30 years of having the same checking account, I made the switch.
As manager of our practice, I have limited time, so I appreciate the personal service that I get on both the corporate and the personal side. In fact, as a member of the Medical Banking Group, I have the same contacts for both my personal and business banking, which makes everything easier. If I ever have an issue – and I don’t have many – I just have to make a single call and I know the issue will be handled.
Piedmont Pediatrics is enjoying their newly expanded office facility and continues to be pleased by the increased efficiency of the practice’s day-to-day banking.
